I'm headed to New York for a week long visit with my family and to saturate myself in nostalgia before the holiday season kicks my retail-working butt. I think the only catch is if I carve pumpkins for Halloween right before I leave, they'll be mushed out by the time the 31st arrives... :pumpkin:

ZOMBIELAND IS AN AWESOME MOVIE!!! It has humor, it has horror, and it has a lot of aftkicking!!! I highly reccommend it to anyone who enjoys zombie flicks, horror with humor, and in general if you can stomach a little bit of gore. ZOMMMMMBIIIEEESSS!!!!! :XD:

On another zombie note, I'm looking forward to Left 4 Dead 2 coming out next month. The "Crash Course" add on for Left 4 Dead 1 is honestly not that fun, it's like one huge maze that makes me motion sick. :P But new achievements are always good.

May I present to you:

Shiri's Playlist For Incinerating Zombies

Well that only took almost two years

Anyone remember that fic snippet for Renewal that I posted in Nov '07? Yeeeaahhh, I finally got to the chapter it's in. :D It has been revised since that initial posting, but, WOOOO! I DID IT!!! YAAYYY!! Part 10 and the return of Ironhide are here!

Looking to commission Movieverse art...

...and I need a hint on where to look for an artist with an opening. ^^; I'd like a battle scene with Ironhide and my version of Chromia fighting together. I could take a crack at it myself, but you've all seen how long it took me just to get that inked version of Chromia finished. :XD:

What I also need to do is start the kitbash for my Chromia figure. Then I could maybe pose her and Ironhide in battle stances and take a photo. =D

I need a beta reader

Would anyone who has been reading Renewal be interested in beta'ing Part 10? I'm trying to give Ironhide the mother of traumatic flashbacks but after two revisions it's still falling flat. I'm working on the third revision now, which I do feel is working better, so far. It will be a little bit of a wait until I've got it ready to be typed up, but I figured I'd ask ahead of time. :)

Revenge of the Fallen in 5...4...3...

  • Playing: left 4 Dead
I'm going to the midnight showing on the 23rd. So, FIVE DAYS AND COUNTING!

...Obviously, I'm not going to finish Renewal by then. :P I'm in the process of typing Part 9 right now, although I have to change the ending, so there's yet one more delay. I may have some of Part 10 written by the 23rd. :P We'll finally catch up with Ironhide! :D

Although unless RotF brings some major inspiration, this and a G1 WIP may be the last Transformers fanfic I write. It has taken far too long for me to write for Renewal, which is a sign that I'm slipping away from the fanfic end of a fandom. It happened the same way with HoND, Gundam W, and other interests that I've written for. I'll never stop being a Transformers fan, but I won't be showing it via writing as much.

Perhaps something else will come along that will inspire me to write. Or maybe I'll finally work more on my original novel, sitting in mothballs for about nine years. :D
